Dismas

What have you made me do?
And what did you do to me?
Where the sources are
Where earth and dirt combine
We will build a human being out of it

Cells collide and come to life
Like rose beds in the desert
Instead of making miracles
Out of Christ, man, or life
We make miracles
Out of ourselves

What is the deal, what can you tell me
What do you feel? Honey please tell me
What is the deal, what can you tell me
What do you feel? Honey please tell me
Deal, what can you tell me, what can you feel?
Honey please tell me what is the deal
What can you tell me, what do you feel?
Honey please tell me

Honey I love the dangers of freedom
Honey I love the dangers of freedom

A heartbreak and a nosebleed
While watching the tv, do you
Have a moment to spare?
Waste our time just one more time
Together as airborne fission atoms
We are darting like birds
Mamas, papas, look how the sky frowns
I feel myself splitting in half
I never wanted sustenance

Embraced you with my starving arms
Boy and friend, I can be both but
What looks too beautiful
Must be the opposite of hope

Honey I love the dangers of freedom
Honey I love the dangers of freedom

A heartbreak and a nosebleed
Pull the arrow out of the heel
What hurts is the healing
We are from the same dirt as Adam
And so as time goes by
You’ll see that it he long dead
Now the light will change
While the sky howls
You feel yourself splitting in half

The sickness is receding
Don’t you think, if six feet tall
Lieutenants acting like God
Only knew what is good and what’s evil
Honey I’d love the dangers of freedom

Honey I’d love the dangers of freedom
Honey I’d love the dangers of freedom

If I knew what’s good and what’s evil
Honey I’d love the dangers of freedom
If I knew what’s good and what’s evil
Honey I’d love the dangers of freedom
The dangers of freedom
The dangers of freedom
The dangers of freedom
The dangers of freedom

Testament

I have kept the fire going
Smoke rose high and swilled the rafters
Weaving out a dream in which I sing you
Goodnight
I have kept the music going
I don’t believe in revelation, though wish that the time collapsed
Then reappeared so I could sing with you again
As seasons tear off the mountains

You are the line of my silhouette
This is my, this is my silent testament
Now I am just a dim silhouette
This is my, this is my silence

I have kept the kitchen open
I am sitting at the edge of myself and I might fall
Deep down into love and come back to a war
Tell me I am fooled by holding on and keeping up with it all

You are the line of my silhouette
This is my, this is my silent testament
Now I am just a dim silhouette
This is mine, this is my silence

Love me
Hate me
Forget
Repeat
Stay here
Leave me
Seething
Gladly
Fall back
Forward
Get up
Turn around
Language
Fulfillment
All might end within a minute
All might end within a minute
All might end within a minute

[Reprise]

You are the line of my silhouette
This is my, this is my silent testament
Now I am just a dim silhouette
This is mine, this is mine

Love me
Hate me
Forget
Repeat
Stay here
Leave me
Seething
Gladly
Fall back
Forward
Get up
Turn around
Language
Fulfillment
All might end within a minute

Fountain

In the cool waiting room of purgatory
There are chairs in beige and bottles of bleach
Trivial smells of suntan and peach

The brocade trays were filled with dark cherry
Praline, clean glassware, my lashes were heavy
With profound diligence and treachery

Honey I’ll surrender if you leave me be
The only gunpoint on the balcony
My hands are up, my hands are up
For both of us

Honey I’ll surrender if you leave me be
The only gunpoint on the balcony
My hands are up, my hands are up
For both of us

Apathy sleeps in the blocks of outstanding beauty,
Our cold ornaments and the laundry baskets;
We are heartless, living for silent laughter
And the power of a man

Contagious is my boyfriend
I fancy his glory and affluence
Affects me, I cheated on Jesus
With elegance and features
Of noblesse every idle evening

He pulls the sequins off my raiment
Trades my organs for indulgence
Palm trees, trouble, medical accidents
Exuberant we were, splendorous angels of mid air
I was an unwelcome invitee,
Declared unhealthy for heaven

Honey I’ll surrender if you leave me be
The only gunpoint on the balcony
My hands are up, my hands are up
For both of us

Honey I’ll surrender if you leave me be
The only gunpoint on the balcony
My hands are up, my hands are up
For both of us

(Poison in water, fountains of money
My hands are up, my hands are up)

Honey I’ll surrender if you leave me be
The only gunpoint on the balcony
My hands are up, my hands are up
For both of us

Two Halves Of A Whole

I’m both Adam and Eve
I own the rib and the dust from the ground
Leo da Vinci hangs on my wall in Astoria
I am a unique freak show
I know what you don’t know

You can’t stop the beat,
I offered you a treat,
Don’t make it complicated now

I am the reason
The guardian of angels
The asshole at your funeral

I’m both Adam and Eve
I own the rib and the dust from the ground
Leo da Vinci hangs on my wall in Astoria
I am two halves of a whole
I am able to sell my bones

I’m both Adam and Eve
I own the rib and the dust from the ground
Leo da Vinci hangs on my wall in Astoria
I am a unique freak show
I know what you don’t know

I am
I know

He said “oh Démira
Should come home with me
I’m living in a chichi warehouse

I’m blowing out candles
As a saviour of the world
The asshole at a funeral

I’m both Adam and Eve
I own the rib and the dust from the ground
Leo da Vinci hangs on my wall in Astoria
I am two halves of a whole
I am able to sell my bones

I’m both Adam and Eve
I own the rib and the dust from the ground
Leo da Vinci hangs on my wall in Astoria
I am a unique freak show
I know what you don’t know

Over Loss

I see heaven as a carousel
Of moral cues and old wishes
Gliding up sliding down

A kingdom of horses goes
Spinning around, the 2 AM soda
Queue is all but quiet ‘cause we’re all

High on something
Chaos arrays in a row
Of ponies, melodies like memories
Play on the radio

All is not lost – all is not lost
Don’t you see things change
On silver and gold we circle along
Swinging high over love
Over death, over loss
Ride it all into oblivion

Squeeze the lemon, stir the ice
One dime for a glass, one dime
For the dying folk

The warm air pulls me in its wake,
Into the heart, a hurricane
Lifts me from the heat into the cold

Spiraling stars of fire
Shots in the arc of a rainbow
Blasting bits of copper wire, roman candles
Spit over the jumping rope

All is not lost – all is not lost
Don’t you see things change
On silver and gold we circle along
Swinging high over love
Over death, over loss
Ride it all into oblivion

[Reprise]

All is not lost – all is not lost
Don’t you see things change
On silver and gold we circle along
Swinging high over love
Over death, over loss
Ride it all into oblivion

Light goes backwards
Through a wasp nest
And the slivers
of you

Thinking back on the city
You watch it, you feel it
And you don’t know what to say

The Parthenon

Immolation of the beast
A twofold increase in the risk
I, co-worker of culture
Know how it feels
To be the problem
The withering sunflowers
Over pink and green mountains
Between epoch and the temporal
Bow for a bitter divorce

My family tree is torched
I have clever brains in the custody battle
And death fish in the reservoir
While distinguished by its swans
It is a poisonous lake, a badland I come from
Below the Parthenon

All the blood is red, I am
A mere torso attached to legs
Forevermore bored, and thus
From bathos I will resolve
Our ending as per usual

My family tree is torched
I have clever brains in the custody battle
And death fish in the reservoir
While distinguished by its swans
It is a poisonous lake, a badland I come from
Below the Parthenon
Dead fish in the reservoir
A poisonous lake, a badland
I come from below the Parthenon

Clever brains in a custody battle
You couldn’t control the flood
A dyadic system transmitted to

a family tree now gone
I have clever brains in the custody battle
And death fish in the reservoir
While distinguished by its swans
It is a poisonous lake, a badland I come from
Below the Parthenon
